Harrisonburg

We drove to Harrisonburg on Saturday and stayed with our good friends Dayna and Eric.  It was great to see them!  Dayna is Associate Pastor at Community Mennonite Church and so we went to church there on Sunday morning and got to see our old friend Jay Beck perform with his wife Tevin East and friend Joby.  They performed a sort of mystical eco-feminist original presentation that connected the creation story with environmental degredation, the story of the Miriam leading the women dancing by the Red Sea, and John the Baptist, among other things.  See them at Holyfoolarts.org.  It was, as you might expect if you know Jay Beck, insane and wonderful.
