The Ginger Backpack Brigade

When she heard who was going on this trip, our friend Eve asked "What is it, the ginger hike?"  Yes, Eve.  Yes it is.  Three red-heads and a red-beard set off for three days in the Pemigewasset Wilderness in the White Mountains of northern New Hampshire.  It turned out to be three days of serious exertion, ridiculous fun, cool swimming holes, and deep conversation.  Josh Scott-Fishburn, Andrew Carlson-Lier, Mark Teiwes and I rambled through woods and streams, the feet of mountains and beautiful weather.  It was soul food.  It was like pouring life straight into my veins.  It was communion.

Checking the Route

There were magical glades, mountain streams, flowers in moss, and other assaults of beauty around most corners.

Josh in the waterfall who's water could not have been above 55 degrees.
